Tomorrow night at 7pm in the High School Band Room, the Grand Island Instrumental Music Boosters will be holding their November meeting.  Information on fundraisers, concerts, and this years band trip will be discussed at these monthly meetings.    All are welcome and we hope to see you there!

Florida Indian River Groves Fruit Sale

Grand Island High School Instrumental Music Students are selling Florida Oranges and Grapefruit to raise money for their trip to Chicago in April 2018.  Help support your local student musician by ordering directly online www.floridaindianrivergroves.com/ecommerce/173920 or by calling the high school music department at  773-8820 ext. 3083005.  Online orders will be shipped to the high school; out-of-state orders are not available.  Delivery date is Saturday, December 9.  Sale runs until Friday, October 27.

The Music Man!!

Over 100 Grand Island High School students will bring the story of "The Music Man" to life on stage in three performances Feb. 2-4. This production was chosen because it is funny, warm and touching as the story unfolds of con man Harold Hill, who poses as a boys' band organizer and leader and sells band instruments and uniforms to the town promising to train the members of the new band.   Generations of audiences have seen the production and can probably hum along on many of its tunes, including the well-known "Seventy-Six Trombones." But this production has a special surprise ending that is sure to please the audience.   In addition to the cast, students have roles in the stage and technical crew. The pit orchestra will accompany the songs, with special appearances by the high school concert band and wind ensemble members as well as a talented group of middle and elementary school students.    All shows are at 7 p.m. in the Grand Viking Theater at Grand...

Holiday Concert!!

Want to hear great holiday music? Come see award an award winning band and orchestra at the annual holiday Christmas concert at Grand Island High School! The 2016 Holiday Concert is Wednesday, December 7th at 7pm! There will be a bake sale during the event and we will be raffling a chance to conduct Sleigh Ride with these great musicians! Hope to see you there!
